Port Moody – On March 22, 2020, at just before midnight, emergency services personnel were called to the 300 block of Highland Way for a report of a stabbing.  PMPD, PMFR and BC EHS all attended and located a 17 year old male suffering from stab wounds.  The male was stabilized at scene and then transported to an area hospital for treatment.  The male received medical treatment and has bee released from hospital.

PMPD interviewed witnesses, were supported by the Integrated Police Dog Service in the search for evidence, and the scene was forensically examined.  The investigation has been turned over to the PMPD Major Crimes Unit and police believe there were multiple male suspects, who fled in a dark coloured four door sedan, but no arrests have been made at this time.

Investigators do not believe this was a random act.

Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact the Port Moody Police Department or Crime Stoppers (solvecrime.ca)
