The ongoing challenge presented by the COVID-19 pandemic is a reality we all face .  Your safety, and the safety of our employees, is our highest priority while ensuring  our organization provides the high level of service you have come to expect from the Port Moody Police Department.

We are continually taking the appropriate precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID19 while endeavouring to maintain our primary functions. Our efforts are as a result of our review of the current orders from the Provincial Public Health Officer and will evolve along with further direction from public health authorities.

After careful consideration, and with the safety of our citizens and employees foremost in our decision making, the Port Moody Police Department is taking the following steps for members of the public who need to attend our office:

For the duration of the current  orders as issued by the Provincial Public Health Officer, all persons entering the Port Moody Police Department office for police service will be required to complete a short COVID-19 Self Screening Check.  In addition, the wearing of a mask is mandatory prior to entry into our building.

This questionnaire will be completed via telephone or via our intercom system by our front counter staff during regular office hours (Mon-Fri 8am -10pm) before entering into the building.  After hours or on weekends, contact can be made with our E-COMM Dispatch Centre using the non-emergency number or through the use of the front door intercom.

Calling the non-emergency telephone number (604-461-3456) to determine if your matter requires a physical visit to our office is always encouraged. In many instances, our officers are able to come to you instead.

Our social media posts will advise of new developments in our protocols with a  link to our website at portmoodypolice.ca for full details. Follow us on Twitter @PortMoodyPD, Facebook and at @portmoodypd on Instagram.

Stay Healthy and Safe!
