FILE: 2024-1601 – Port Moody Police are releasing images of a break & enter suspect in an attempt to identify him.
On April 10, 2024, staff from a business in the Moody Centre area of the city contacted police after discovering a break & enter to their restaurant overnight. Through reviewing CCTV footage, it was learned the suspect entered the business twice overnight – once on April 9 at around 11 p.m. and again on April 10 at around 6:30 a.m. – making off with multiple electronic devices.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, with long dark hair tied in a bun, wearing glasses and a puffy jacket. He also had a backpack on him [see still image].
This break & enter is one of six in the Moody Centre area of Port Moody in the past month. Of note, these incidents include break-ins to other businesses, parkade storage units and a construction site.
“Our frontline officers are increasing patrols in the area and we are asking the public to report any suspicious activity to us right away” states Constable Sam Zacharias.
