SUBJECT: Male shot multiple times with BB gun

PORT MOODY – On Wednesday October 7, 2020 at approximately 2:45 p.m., the Port Moody Police Department responded to the Glenayre area of Port Moody for reports of a male who had been shot in the back multiple times, while in the driveway of his home.

Investigation revealed that there had been a minor dispute along Clarke Road between the 22-year-old victim and a male suspect known to him. The suspect then followed the victim on foot to his home and shot him in the back multiple times with a BB gun before the victim could make it safely inside.

The victim was subsequently transported by ambulance to hospital for treatment, as the BBs had penetrated the victim’s skin. The victim is expected to make a full recovery.

Police have identified a suspect, however, the investigation is still ongoing and no charges have been laid as of this report.
