The Port Moody Police Department is warning the public about a spike in underground parkade property crime.

Since the start of the year, frontline officers have responded to dozens of parkade thefts and break-ins within the Inlet Centre region of the city – mainly break-ins to storage lockers and thefts from parked vehicles at Suter Brook, Newport & Klahanie buildings.

In one recent event, two suspects were captured on CCTV breaking into a parkade storage room in the early hours of March 13, 2025, making off with valuables [see suspect still images]. Police are attempting to identify these two men and anyone with information about this alleged break & enter is asked to contact us.

“We strongly recommend removing valuables from your parked vehicle as well as locking them since thieves will typically target unlocked autos” states Constable Sam Zacharias. “As for storage lockers, we suggest you document all items inside of your locker, check on your locker from time to time, and ensure it is properly secured with heavy-duty locks.”
