Port Moody Police are investigating a death that took place at Reed Point Marina.
On January 1, 2025 just after 9 a.m., Port Moody Police officers were called to the wharf for a report of a deceased person in the water. The deceased individual – a woman in her 60’s – was retrieved from the water with assistance from the Coast Guard.
“Our Major Crime Detectives are in the evidence-gathering phase of this investigation and are examining the circumstances surrounding the death but have not ruled out criminality at this time” states Acting Sergeant Sam Zacharias, adding that “initial information suggests the incident is isolated in nature and anyone with information is asked to contact our investigators”.
