A man remains in custody after an alleged hospital assault Thursday evening.

On March 27, 2025 just before 8:30 p.m., frontline officers were called to Eagle Ridge Hospital for a report of a patient assaulting a medical staff member.

Upon police attendance, the male was being restrained by security and staff. Officers arrested the man and he is also alleged to have assaulted a police officer during the arrest.

The B.C. Prosecution Service has approved charges of Assault & Assault of a Peace Officer against Colby Jandrew of no fixed address. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Port Coquitlam Court today [March 28, 2025].
