On November 11, 2015 at approximately 5:45 pm three teenage males were in the trail area near Aspenwood Elementary School when they were approached by two unknown males.  The males produced what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money from the teens.  Fortunately no one was injured and the suspects fled with $25.  Police resources, including a helicopter and K9 unit, were deployed to the area but were unable to locate the suspects.  The suspects were described as two males between 18-24 years old with tall, thin builds.  Both suspects had their faces covered during the robbery.  The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Port Moody Police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

While events like this are disturbing, they are quite rare in the community.  Police will be increasing patrols in the area.
