FILE: 2025-102 – Port Moody Police are advising the public of charge approval against a local man.

Over the past several months, Port Moody Police have received numerous reports of a man allegedly harassing women in the Moody Centre area of the city and multiple investigations were opened.

Sohail Safari Kermanshahi was arrested over the past weekend and charges of Criminal Harassment and Uttering Threats have been approved by the B.C. Prosecution Service. Safari Kermanshahi remains in custody at this time, with his next court appearance set to take place today.

“We understand there has been a lot of conjecture and concern about these incidents on social media platforms” states Constable Sam Zacharias. “We want the public to know that we take these reports seriously and we are asking any other potential victims who have yet to report similar incidents, to contact us.”
