Port Moody Police are investigating reports of both people and vehicles struck by BB gun pellets Friday night.
On June 21, 2024 at about 8 p.m., police were called to the area of David Avenue and Forest Park Way (East) in Port Moody for a report of two males with an airsoft-style rifle randomly shooting at passing vehicles. Frontline officers – with assistance of Coquitlam RCMP – attended the area promptly and located a pedestrian who had been hit by a BB pellet, resulting in minor injuries.
Police are also aware of a social media post where another passerby was struck with what is believed to be BB pellet.
Frontline officers were unable to locate the suspects, who are both described as Caucasian males, 15-16 years old, slim build with dark hair. One was wearing a blue collared shirt with buttons and the other was wearing blue jeans. It is believed the suspects fled into a nearby trail beside Noons Creek.
Anyone with information or dash camera footage from the area is asked to contact police. Additionally, any other potential victims are asked to contact us at 604-461-3456
