NEVER give out personal information such as your address, telephone number, place of work or school
Don’t keep online relationship/ friends a secret
Report or Block accounts that make you feel uncomfortable
Turn off location services on social media apps (Snap chat, Instagram)

Tips for Parents

Learn about your child’s internet usage
Look into filtering software that is able to block out offensive or inappropriate materials
Communicate with your child that you will be monitoring their online usage
Inform your child about the harm of sharing intimate photos online
