On May 31, 2009, at approximately 0830 hrs. investigators from the Major Crime and Patrol Sections of the Port Moody Police Department successfully executed a search warrant in the 1800 block of View St. Upon entry into the residence, investigators located approximately 400 marijuana plants and equipment linked to a marijuana grow operation. A male and female were located inside the residence and both were arrested. Police are considering charges under sec. 7(1) of the CDSA for the Production of a Controlled Substance in connection with the grow operation; both suspects were released on a Promise to Appear.

The Port Moody Police Department would like to take this opportunity to remind the public to contact police if they observe any suspicious drug activity in their neighborhood.
