Arrest of Suspects Involved in Offences in Port Moody

APRIL 1st, 2009

On March 30th, 2009, Detectives from the Major Crime Section of the Port Moody Police Department, using sound investigative techniques and leads from the public, successfully concluded a series of high profile cases in relation to a string of brazen robberies and a break and enter to a residence.

  • October 20 and October 27th 2008-Scotia Bank Robbery, 2501 St Johns Street –Two suspects were identified from these two robberies. One suspect is awaiting trial on multiple robberies and the second suspect has been convicted on a recent Port Moody bank robbery.
     
  • November 26th 2008-Zed Clothing Apparel Robbery, 258 Newport Drive – Three suspects were identified from this robbery. The two suspects are James PLASMAN and Edward GODIN, who have been charged  and are currently in custody awaiting trial, the third suspect has been identified and is being sought by police.
     
  • November 28th 2008- Bank of Montreal Robbery, 228 Ungless Way - Two suspects were identified in this robbery. One suspect, a young offender, was charged, has since pled guilty and is currently serving his sentence. The second suspect who was the driver of the getaway vehicle has been identified and is being sought by police.
     
  • December 3rd 2008-Bank of Montreal Robbery, 228 Ungless Way – One suspect was identified for this robbery. The investigation resulted in the arrest and charge of Meysam MOKRI.
     
  • January 20th 2009-Break and Enter to Residence and Committing an Indictable Offence – 651 Nootka Way- One suspect was identified for this b/e and committing an indictable offence. The suspect, Dennis LINKLATER, was identified after the PMPD media release and is currently in custody charged with this and numerous other Lower Mainland offences.
