RE: MULTIPLE MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT

PORT MOODY: On Tuesday July 13th 2010, at approximately 1220 pm, the Port Moody Police responded to a multiple motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Moody and St Johns Street. The six vehicle accident, stemmed from an initial motor vehicle incident at Guildford and Balmoral Dr. The alleged violator vehicle then left the scene and drove over the overpass onto Moody and Clarke where it struck another vehicle on the driver side door; the vehicle then proceeded a short distance where it struck three other vehicles at the intersection of  Moody and St Johns Street.

The damage assessment is over $10,000. All the drivers were checked on scene and those requiring further treatment or observation were transported to the Eagle Ridge Emergency Hospital.

The driver of the alleged violator vehicle is a 34 year old male who resides in the Tri-City area. The Port Moody Police has ruled out drugs and alcohol but is actively investigating and conducting interviews with those involved.
