On Sunday October 4, 2009, at approximately 0018 hours, Port Moody Police responded to a 911 call at a residence located in the 3000 block of Henry St.

Upon arrival, officers located a female in the residence suffering from stab wounds. An adult male was found outside the residence by police with wounds to his hands. Both parties were transported to a local hospital by EHS, where the female victim underwent surgery for her wounds; her condition is now described as stable. The male was taken into custody and charged with attempt murder.
